drop-down in the optimise menu, where you can select the format (jpg, gif, png-8 etc.)

what you said before, i knew that before, but the the menu changed. ummm i don't know why i didnt see what i saw before, or maybe i did try it but it didn't work. but it is working now

Edit: No I was right the first time, it doesn't work. it works for the second animation, you are allowed to save as a gif, but the first one, you can only save as jpg.
maybe its cos i opened the original pic straight into imageready or something, rather that creating a new anim. or vice versa. or something :S
