# I know it's probably wrong
but most of them make me laugh. I was in hysterics watching Hostel. I still love watching Ichi The Killer to remind me I'm sane :o

# I've still not seen that, or the animated series of the same name.
I generally find those kind of films boring given I am pretty much desensitised to gore.

# same here, most of the time
but Ichi is so far over the top that you cannot do anything but laugh. It's just bonkers.

I actually find earthly violence quite uncomfortable to watch. There were scenes in "There Will be Blood" that had me paralysed with shock for a few moments. No horror film does that to me, because they have absolutely no basis in reality.

# There's a bit at the end of Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, where the bloke gets stabbed in the chest and left for dead in the middle of the road.
Then gurgles through his lungs loudly in death throes throughout the entire credits sequence, which in my opinion is the best ending to a film ever.

# nope
best ending to a film is "Hidden".

But the "Sympathy" trilogy is a damn fine piece of work. Wish they'd bloody hurry up and get them all out on Bluray though :(
