# corranhorn
you've obviously not been around here long.
There has been much worse than that.
And that, imho, is not even slightly sick.

if perhaps it were a mangled corpse with a cats eye hanging off by a thread, then maybe that'd provoke more of a reaction but as it is, its just funny and offers an insite into "left eys" odd nickname (note ive never looked into it, nor did i know she even had that nickname until after she died - not being a follower of banal music).

on another note
Good morning everybody!

for a calmer life:
Joao Gilberto - Garota de ipanema
Jorge Ben - Mais Que Nada (there's a couple of versions of this track worth having)
Both come fully recommended in a latin kind of way. I learnt the words to both in portugese. I can be a bit sad and obsessive sometimes.

# That John B tune
you used for the kittens thingy... I heard that ages ago and wondered what it was! I have an hour long mix from JJ Frost, which is nice!
Ooooh, one more thing, do you have the original picture of the Chinchilla?
(, Mon 29 Apr 2002, 1:21, archived)

I have a couple of things going on next weekend- my brother's going to be in the country, which means I'll be getting twatted, and I agreed to do some earsock filming. i think next weekend looks like a big one- you're welcome to come down if you fancy it mate.

# Huzzah!
This does of course depend on whether Amex are going to be arseholes and not pay me that last little bit of cash they owe me, but I'll endeavour to make it to the town they call Londinium. Also just remembered that my mate Amanda Veitch is half Portugese, will have to give her a call and let her know about the tunes!
And what is this about earsock filming?

Can I crash on your ceiling if I travel the great distance that it is from Brighton-by-the-sea to London Taaaaahn please? I would hate to have to attempt the "London to Brighton in 3 minutes" I used to see on telly, especially on foot, maybe I could borrow Tubkid's scooter, but I really don't think it would last the course.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2002, 1:47, archived)
# should be ok mate
i have got my brother round mind (he lives in the states) so that may cause a bedding issue, but I have more than one place to sleep here. Also, breel lives just up the road, as does Si W, and several other people. Don't reckon you'd be short of a bed dowb here.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2002, 1:56, archived)
# Yay! That's (Gaz) Top!
I got both the tunes you sent, Woo! Excellent stuff, and was it you that had the original picture of the Chincilla? I need it for a geek thing for mates of mine... Ha ha ha ha ha haaaa, use... your... cloaking...device...

Just fantastic, utterly, uttelry fantastic. I was convinced it was the product of some cartel communique-style bootleg cowboy genius but turns out to be his own work.

SEOUL, April 26 (AFP) - Foreigners will be invited to try
specially prepared dog meat juice outside the World Cup stadium in a
bid to fight "prejudice" against the South Korean delicacy,
restaurateurs said Friday.
"We plan to develop canned dog meat tonic juice, which football
fans can enjoy in their stadium seats while watching games," said
Choi Han-Gwon, a leader of a national association of dog meat
restaurants.
"They will enjoy it instead of Coke," he said.
The association will recruit volunteers among foreigners to help
hand out free dog meat juice in disposable containers outside the
Sangam Stadium in Seoul, he said.
"They will help us explaining to foreigners about the innocence
of consuming dog meat," he said.
But he flatly denied local press reports that the association
would offer up dog meat hamburgers and sandwiches during the
football event.
"We don't want sensationalism or excessive publicity about dog
meat as we fear that there would be a backlash from the government,"
Choi said.
