This is a normal post In the video the door looks like it has a master switch
unlock, norm and lock. Perhaps the switch was accidentally on "lock". You'd want the pilots to have an override to prevent the emergency process being activated by the stewardess with a gun to her head if the plane was hijacked

This is a normal post It locks it for 5 minutes before it needs to be reset and locked again aparently.
