This is a normal post ^this
You didn't even need to advertise it. First time you saw the springy slidy cover most people's reaction was OMGITSTHEPHONEFROMTHEMATRIXIWANTITTAKEMYMONEY

This is a normal post Except that it wasn't in the Matrix and was utterly shite besides.

This is a normal post Yeah, the matrix one was actually an earlier version
without the automatic spring bit, but they modified it for the film I believe.

This is a normal post The Matrux used a completely different phone.
An Aussie 5110 as I recall. The so-called banana phone.

This is a normal post It was the 8110 here in Blighty
Had one - beautiful phone.

The only phone that isn't my personal technology museum as some pikey bastard nicked it out of my pocket in a club in Liverpool in 1999.

And even more annoyingly, it's the one phone that I really did want to keep for my collection.

Well I knew it wasn't the Matrix phone at the time and I still wanted it because it did that. And it wasn't utterly shite. It was far better than the 3210 I replaced with it and I only replaced it when that slider eventually fell off.

This is a normal post I was working for Orange when these were released.
Trust me, they were abysmal.

This is a normal post It became way less cool when the spring wore out,
and the slidey bit only came about 1/3 of the way out.
It looked well sad to have to manually pull it out.

This is a normal post You could replace the spring with an uprated one
And it pinged out exactly like the matrix one.
