This is a normal post Lulz.
My favourite LGBTPQRXYZ campaign group is Queers for Palestine. Say what you like about Israel and their foreign/settlement/general treatment of Palestinians policies, I'd actually probably agree with most of it, but at least they have the only functional democracy (as westerners understand the word) in the middle east. It's also the only country in the region where homosexuality is not a crime. They also have a well attended annual gay pride march in Tel Aviv. Where else does gay pride have a presence in the middle east?

You have to be trying pretty hard to fall foul of them though.

This is a normal post I read about one European country in the news that wanted to curtail "bullying" and "hate speech" on the web
Seemed rather subjective with a high potential for abuse.

This is a normal post Maybe. That seems to only mention one law in Florida (lol) and because school districts are government entities they have to abide by free speech.

There's quite a lot of Europe.

This is a normal post 'functional democracy'
as long as you accept it's a Jewish state. And considering how many non-Jewish people live within the 'pre-1967' borders, that's bloody lucky for Israel.
That said, the alternative are far fucking worse. As the second law of thermodynamics says - you can;t win, you can't break even but you can't stop playing the game.

This is a normal post Aren't the borders around the 1967 war really just academic? I mean, there were several countries created after WWII that ignored ethnic boundaries.
Had Egypt and the others succeeded in taking land during that war, would the world be insisting that they return it to the artificial borders created after WWII?

This is a normal post I think you'll find that was Stalin and Roosevelt
Is there no bottom to the depth of your ignorance of history? Get a fucking book. And read it.
Edit: and Britain did not create Israel - we administered the Palestine mandate before handing it to the UN in 1947 due to civilian murdering Zionist terrorism (including inter alia the invention of both the car bomb and arguably the suicide bomber). Blame America and it's weirdo eschatologist preachers.

This is a normal post Why you gotta be so rude? Don't you know I'm human too?
I am sure there is a bottom, but with patience you'll find it. I appreciate your willingness to engage one of such lower IQ. So Churchill was out of the picture by then?

And you are making it sound like only the US has an interest in preserving Israel.

The whole point of 'Queers for Palestine' is exactly to combat this type of 'pinkwashing' of their continuing military-colonial occupation of Palestinian territory. Whataboutism is a great way to ignore and excuse a group's faults and crimes - being good on one rights front does not in any way excuse gross violations on another front.

Some points:

1) Democracy isn't black and white - As the occupying power, they are effectively (and legally) in control of the West Bank and Gaza. Do people there have a vote on how this occupation is run? South Africa had democracy too ... for whites.
2) Israel's support internally for gay rights is laudable, but what does perpetual occupation do to support Palestinian civil society and gay Palestinians? Their rights go beyond those attached to their sexuality, and are violated daily in the same way as any other Palestinian
3) Visit Ramallah some day, and you'd be surprised by the gay scene there.

This is a normal post Yes mate. The constant pink washing of Israeli policies is ubiquitous.
