It has no economy worth speaking of, doesn't have the institutions or legal framework to let business thrive, is riven by corruption and state theft on a colossal scale, and has nothing to export but oil, gas and disinformation.
We and the French, however, have nuclear weapons.

Last time i looked in the cupboard Russia had more than both us and those froggy rascals over the channel.
woldnt be surprised if the Gvnmt actually privatise the nuclear weapons system and have to pay mega bucks to compensate the new owners if they ever need to fire them, of course it would have to go to a shareholder vote first though

Yeah, you might not hve realised his, but Russia has Nukes too. A lot more of them than we do.
A lot more of them than we and the French combined have, in fact.
And more importantly, unlike us, Russia doesn't need the USA's permission to launch their nukes.
