It's one of my favourite films.
It is pretty funny, and you've got nothing much to lose by watching.
At the very least it has a seventies sci-fi esthetic which I find appealing and if that's not rewarding enough for you, plenty of artsy nudity (who can argue with freckled tits, or if you lean the other way, Connery in a loin cloth. He does get a bit rapey, but you know it's all pretend).
There are some movies that sci-fi fans just have to watch, this is one.
