I do like me some Halcali...pity the quality of most of their music videos on YT is so poor...

This is a normal post Aye,
they had some good turns on the show...this is one of my favourites and often gets played when I do a J-music DJ set.

Reminded me a bit of Frank Chickens. The are Japanese but (were?) based in London
I have a soft spot for them as it's the first "indie" gig I went to, circa 1985.
Fantastic live; they asked us to sit down for part of it, so everyone could see.
They kinda act out the songs, for example a hat with an aeroplane on it, so they flew it around. Like a modern version of Kabuki, dance-drama.
"We Are Frank Chickens" is a really pleasant album, IMHO.

This is a normal post Cool...
I didn't know about them until later years (I recall hearing this remix on a Ninja Tune compilation).

This is a normal post I saw Frank Chickens as part of some sort of Bill Nelson gig way back, probably before 1985.
Very entertaining, but a bit bizarre. I remember one thing they did was demonstrating different levels of intoxication, including both melancholy and laughing drunk. Odd. We Are Ninja was their only real hit.
