Well, I never knew..... Quincy Jones wrote the whole soundtrack, inc Self-Preservation Society, There's a cut scene that was in the car chase.
Robert Redford was the first choice for Charlie, How Coward got involved. The prison they used.
Also, if you deep dive into some of the crew etc, there's bonkersness to be had. e.g.Robert Evans
We might all be getting this as a suggestion, so I'm surprised it hasn't popped up here yet.
