(In answer to your question: The heart-punching guy is a magical wizard-priest, fueled by a mystical glowing rock. The fridge is, well, a fridge. The difference being that it's the magical wizard performing ludicrous feats of strength in Temple of Doom, whereas it's fallible everyman Indy who somehow manages to survive a nuclear blast in Crystal Skull.)
