hate to tell you this, but no it's not.
lumping every online news/investigative journalism source in together because they share a delivery method is the same as lumping Private Eye in with the Daily Star because they both use paper.

I assumed you meant "mainstream media" to imply "old media" - tv, newspapers etc
Implying that the Internet is a haven of truth and justice for the enlightened whereas the "sheep" watch telly etc etc. Can you ever forgive me? Can you??
