It's not as pretty as the concept art would have had us to believe.
Also - it turns out my missus's friend's brother is one of the designers who worked on the engine (the exhaust system to be exact).
I had the pleasure of sitting next to him at a pub lunch recently. He had the displeasure of me chewing his ear off about his job for the entire meal.
Very interesting chat though - it is a genuine Mercedes F1 engine in there, but their biggest challenge was to make it drive slowly. Racing cars are notoriously cranky at low speeds and aren't really happy unless they're being thrashed to the limit.
