My back wasn't AS fucked as this, but not far off
I went to see a chiro last November and she worked wonders. I've still a little bit to go, but anyone who says they're quacks can fuck right off.

Yep!
I know the feeling, I went from being diagnosed as having been in a car crash ( I wasn't) to finally getting my back back after a few months with a chiro. Sure there are some shit ones, but some great ones too. Good luck getting the rest of yours back!

THe ones that barely touch you are quacks.
The ones that put you back together are ace.
One of my coworkers had a bit of a sore neck after a minor car crash.
Went to the normal doctor, pain meds and rest.
3 Months later, still not better.
Specialists, Xray, specialist, nothing.
He finally went to our Chiro (he's a good mate of said coworker).
The Chiro went touchy feely on his neck and stopped saying there was something wrong and to go get an Xray of certain vertebra now.
He does not even put them up on the light-box thing that he spots a hairline fracture.
Ambulance, operation, two small permanent titanium bolts.
The surgeon estimated that he had broken his neck when he was 6 or 7 years old. 30 Years ago.

But...
...some of them are... I had one chiro tell me I needed 12 sessions (at £30 a pop no less) before he even looked at my back, and another who seemed to do the bare minimum in order to get me back the next week.
Was recommended a sports massage/physio lady who had me fixed in an hour, and 30 minutes of that was consultation; even got some great advice about changing my techniques for cycling and swimming.
I'm glad you've seen results, back pain is a killer, but I can't help but think think that the same might work for you and quicker?

I had two sessions
She said to call me if I thought I needed to go back (I largely have been doing it myself most of my life) and I didn't need to.
The best piece of advice she gave was to get insoles as apparently my arches were collapsed since I was a toddler (a symptom of childhood rheumatoid arthritis, apparently, which I was never told at the time). Gradually my posture has just got better and better.
Newbury chiropractic centre, if you happen to be anywhere nearby ;o)

gake
chiropracters are unscientific quacks. the best ones are the equivalent of novice physios. all that cracking is just bubbles forming in the synovial fluid. It doesn't do shit to slipped discs, damaged nerves, disc degeneration, damaged or shortened tendons, etc

Never had a "crack" ...
More like "pain pain PAIN ooh this feels better".
A good one can only put stuff back in place an tell you where you have tendinitis or other more important stuff that needs a visit to a specialist.
And yeah, helping babies with lung infections expel mucus,
not very nice to do but probably very rewarding.
But I've also had a doctor that would prescribe "rest n' painkillers" for bloody anything.
Must have been one star BJ enthusiast to get his diploma.
