When was it made? Credits say 1993 but it looks and sounds a lot earlier than that.

I guess it's just all made with older equipment...
...Which was possibly the cutting edge in Soviet audiovisual technology in 1993. Or maybe it was artistic choice and they were going for mid-century authenticity.
