This is a link post Rock, Paper, Scissors.
You vs a computer. I did quite well when it was a novice. Not so easy when it's a veteran

This is a normal post Played a best of five with the veteran and won
I think I'll give up while I'm ahead.

This is a normal post Me too
It's quite interesting how it works, but it would only really be effective if you played it over many games and repeated the same sequences. On first to five, it's all luck - in fact you probably have an advantage as a human as you can work out what the computer probably thinks you're going to do.

This is a normal post It's great that you can see what the computer is thinking...
and learn how it is basing its decisions, but I don't think you should be able to see what it's thinking before it plays the move. Surely if you know what it's going to play, and you play the a different hand so that you win, then it's just going to cock up the patterns that it will later use to base its future decisions on...or maybe it would just average out so that more people don't cheat so it doesn't really matter...

Failing that, I wonder if everyone cheated, would the computer develop an inferiority complex that it could never beat a human and slowly go insane...
