This is a link post THE LADY IN RED by Chris De Burgh performed by the man from the British Pork advert (1984)
Obviously. Surprised no-one had thought of it before tbh.

This is a normal post Very disturbing!
A lot of the darkness and insanity can be explained by the fact that the artist ("The Caretaker") is from Stockport.

Wikipedia says it was NME's Single of the Week in 2000.

I have completely missed this person's oeuvre.

What is the next Caretaker track that I should listen to?

This is a normal post So, his output as "The Caretaker" is more recent and different to this...all essential listening, however.
His older V/Vm releases are a glorious, sprawling mess...this is more of the above...stuff put out on the label V/Vm Test Records is well worth exploring.

I know LJK (I'm a fellow Stopfordian)...last bumped into him at Unsound Festival in Krackow (where he currently lives) in October.
