There's no clamour for the vaccine... no. Why would there be?

I am certainly not going to rush
until this widespread human testing starts to yield results.
I reckon to give it 6 months and we will know whether it has long term side effects.

There's been widespread testing for several months already
Based on the known and significant risk of long-term problems after having Covid-19 I'm more than happy to have the vaccine.

Me too. Everything has side effects.
It would be massively hypocritical for anyone who has ever had, say, an untested ecstasy pill or line of coke, to stoke up fears about vaccine side effects.
Yet it seems most of the friends I have who promote these fears are precisely the ones who shoved massive drugs in their faces back in the day.

I'll bet they don't think alcohol is a potentially dangerous either.

A potentially dangerous ether?
I'm not against drugs at all, but that stuff can turn you blind.

Fair enough, someone else gets it sooner.
Where would you rank it on a list of risks?
Edit : I've just had a 'flu jab saturday, four different strains; sore arm and feel a bit rough which is the body gearing up to fight.

Well it's not as if Covid has been shown to have long term debilitating effects
Err.. wait...

I wont push my way to the front of the queue either.
I have no doubt about the safety of the jab. At all. I'm just not too sure about its effectiveness, given our track record with corona vaccines.
My age group is scheduled for vaccination in july/august at the soonest anyway, so there'll be plenty of time to see if there's a significant drop in infection rates in the vaccinated.

I'd chuck a pensioner under a bus
