"Should he say that people who are engaged in paedophilia should be involved in the church?"
I thought this went without saying.

I'm no Bible expert, but I'm told that Leviticus was pretty much a desert survival guide for a travelling army.
It was pretty much saying to the troops: 'If you are feeling lonely, please don't fuck each other and also, stay away from the crayfish'.

Why
would the bible contain an army manual? Thought we loved our nieghbours? I'm no scholar of it either, but it is all supposed to be the word of god, they tell me.

Well written indeed. But inconclusive:
"In summary: I don't believe that Jewish law does consider homosexual acts to be immoral. It prohibits them, but that is not the same thing."
I don't really see how the morality matters as much as the legality.

I'm not sure that helps much
as it seems to suggest god didn't know how the reproductive system, that he designed, works. As that is pretty basic, it seems fair to assume god didn't know what he was talking about.
So although 'no homosexuality' is stated in the bible, it was stated by someone with very limited knowledge and can therefore be discounted, even if it was for a specific occasion and not aimed at all mankind for all time.

Probably.
I reckon it went something like "Jacob! For fuck's sake! And you too Gary, again, fucking hell! Look, we're on a march here, stop fucking each other every time we stop. Leviticus - Leviticus! Can you stop writing everything I say down? Wait till we get to the battle."

Not really
if you consider the creation bollocks in Genesis or the rapture crap in Revelations. There's some strange stuff in Exodus and Corinthians is a chuckle. In fact, from cover to cover it is batshit mental, from world floods that don't really explain why there are freshwater fish, to people fainting from a haircut.

Easier when you drop a ridiculous comment and have others bail you out, yeah?

He will almost certainly be forced to recant, but he's right.
His view is that his holy book says homosexuality is immoral and so the church shouldn't be supporting it. Fair enough.
If he preaches that homosexuality is a bad thing to rows of empty pews in his church, also fair enough.
If he is ever in a position where he can treat a homosexual differently (e.g. being a baker selling cakes to the general public) then he should be sacked.
I disagree with his opinion, but he is not in any position of authority, all he does is join with another bunch of saddos telling a few misguided idiots what their invisible friend thinks.

In the UK, in Christian churches - yes. In other lands where the holy book* is written all squiggly and backwards, they throw gays off buildings, because that's what the interpreters of the squiggles say they should do.
*same imaginary friend, can't agree who was his best mate though.

It's all about fearing God and the repercussions your actions will have in the next life.
When so many of them don't seem to fear their God and do the most unspeakable things it just makes me think they don't even believe he exists.
