When satellites go bang!
Intelsat 29E exploded on Monday and is now drifting and out of contact with the ground. This is in the Geostationary belt where most satellite TV craft are located so it may be wise to binge watch those old TopGears on Dave ASAP.
Fortunately, space is pretty big so the risk of hitting anything directly is pretty low but some of the debris from the explosion could cause issues for other craft for decades to come.
