so the contents of her memory card will be fine. As long as she had continuous shooting on, there will be images up to the point the camera got flooded.

So she can still show them to her family, with the added bonus of the story about what happened which I am sure she will stretch out to an hour.

although after a certain point, everything is affected by magnetics. If nothing else, you reach a strength where all the metal parts will be ripped out away from everything else. But that wasn't what I meant in my first post anyway.

But yes, I remembered after I posted that, unlike tapes, you can leave an SD card, and a CD, and all other non-magnetic media on a speaker.

I still feel weird doing so even now.
