This is a question Common

Freddy Woo writes, "My wife thinks calling the front room a lounge is common. Worse, a friend of hers recently admonished her daughter for calling a toilet, a toilet. Lavatory darling. It's lavatory."

My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

What stuff do you think is common?

Ugg Boots
Even if they are the real deal, it just means you spent even more money on looking like every other girl at university. And they make most people walk like a retarded 3 year old.

These were mentioned in the last QOTW
What the hell are Uggs?

suede-type material boots that come in various shades of brown.
They kind of look like Barbie's shoes

and
they're £140 easy. So if you spot anyone under 18 wearing them, they were probably bought by a parent. Fuck that shit.

THAT
was perfect...just perfect.
Hooray to you!

I've only seen them being worn in two ways:
1) with jogging bottoms, and said wearer has tucked them into the boots (not a good look on anyone, particularly if you're on the chubby side)

2) with a denim miniskirt. Fake tan, bleached blond hair required too. Like you said, most often seen on uni students.

I think they're ugly (the boots, not the people wearing them), and not practical. One girl complained her feet get wet when it rains. if I spent £140 on a pair of boots, I'd expect them to keep my feet nice and dry.

My girlfriend has some
unofficial ones (about a tenner) and says they make fantastic slippers. We are slipper people. Slippers are good.

Correct
I especially enjoy the way some of the posh bints can't walk properly, and sort of walk on the insides of the boot, ye know?

But
they are so comfy, and when you are on your feet all day then they make lovely shoes to wear in the evening. I was totally in the 'I hate them' camp till I tried on my friend's and then I was converted and therefore don't care if I look like a sheep (which is ironic as that is what they are made of) because my uggs keep me warm. And are nice when you've just danced a 2 hour rehearsal in heels, and your feet are dying.

And the proper ones are waterproof.

And I generally don't care if I look like a spaz normally so why would I care now?

My other shoes are Birkenstocks.
