This is a question Conversation Killers

ThatNiceMan asks: Have you ever been talking with people down the pub when somebody throws such a complete curveball (Sample WTF moment: "I wonder what it's like to get bummed") that all talk is stopped dead? Tell us!

This annoys me.
I have had a miscarriage, and it is possibly the second worst thing that could happen to somebody (the first being losing a child that's already been born and become part of the family, I'd rather lose a thousand unborn cildren than my 3 year old daughter)..... BUT.....
People make jokes about all sorts of things. It's only offensive if they make a joke about a dead baby and already know of your dead baby. Same goes for dead mothers, fathers, anyone really.
I hate it when somebody makes a dead baby joke in my presence, and you hear the gasp, and all eyes are on me..... WHAT? They weren't talking about MY baby, and they didn't do it to upset me.
I don't like the jokes, and sometimes the joke stings a little, but I don't feel the need to burst into tears, flounce away and make a massive issue of it. That's called attention seeking and those who act that way are a whole different subject right there....
Sorry, but this is one of the only things that riles me up!
I'm gooing to crack open a nother cold one and continue reading, for the most part, your funny stories andenjoy them :)
(Even though only about a third of them are on topic :) )
