Today will be awesome
I'm going guitar shopping in Birmingham with Pooflake in an hour, Then we'll hit the pub and later I'm out with G/F and daughter for a chinese meal.
Beat that, pasty sweaty-palmed internet shut-ins! What excitements does your day hold?

Alt: Most over-rated band ever? (No points for U2, that's a given)
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 10:22, 42 replies, latest was 12 years ago)
I'm going to do some housework
Before going to the pub.

Alt; The Beatles.
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 10:24, Reply)
Agree on the Beatles
Lots of good catchy tunes but best band ever?
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 11:57, Reply)
Dick about online, watch racing in the pub, see a few bands.
Alt, this "Third Summer of Love", as it's being touted here in Manchester. New Order, Roses and Mondays reforming. The Mondays were good, but the other two were massively overrated. And come to that, New Order were going years before the Madchester hype, so it's not even correct.
Morning rant over, as you were.
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 10:54, Reply)
New Order made some decent tunes but he cannot sing
Mondays and Stone Roses did some decent tunes too
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 11:57, Reply)
The Mondays were best ot those 3. Not sure what they'll be like now, 20 odd years after their heyday.

Guitar Guitar or PMT?

(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 11:42, Reply)
Pre musical tension?
I shall be on Dad duty this morning then watch the footy with many coffees. I fancy making paella for tonight and drinking wine
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 11:56, Reply)
Depends what you're after.
If you are buying a guitar, I suggest you visit the guitar shop. If you want to be completely irrational, have your hair go greasy and develop a chocolate requirement then PMT.
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 12:16, Reply)
In typical Pooflake fashion we've been to 3 shops and he can't decide
Wants an acoustic/electric - must be black (God knows why) and have the right sound. Tossup between a Fender and some Yamahas. I don't like the Fender personally but I'm not buying it!
Onward and upward!

So you're in the pub....
.... Discussing the merits of each?
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 13:02, Reply)
I'm currently in the Trocadero, come in and say Hi

only for the kind of chumps who don't like hand carding

(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 13:48, Reply)
I've got no idea what hand carding is.

(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 13:52, Reply)
it's like using two brushes against each other
on a piece of raw wool to get the knots out so it's ready for felting or spinning
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 13:55, Reply)
Sounds great.

(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 14:06, Reply)
Oooh. Cavy.
I was going to text you yesterday (but couldn't be arsed in the end). I was walking through Bristol Bus Station and I noticed there is a branch of Greggs outside it.

Not just any Greggs. But a 'special' one with inside and outside seating. It's the Greggs restaurant you've always craved.
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 14:26, Reply)
I think there's one in the bus station here
I'm just waiting for the right date to take there
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 19:04, Reply)
If it helps, I'm really really impressed with the website AND the pun.

(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 14:40, Reply)
For the first time this season, Bristol City don't have a goal keeper on the bench.
David James, playing his last game has just gone down injured.

That'll be defender Liam Fontain pulling on the gloves.

It won't be 0 - 0 much longer.
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 13:52, Reply)
As predicted, City are 1-0 down now.

(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 14:06, Reply)
At least you're safe, though.
I'm off daah'n the boozer later to watch the toon match. I can maybe see a banana skin heading our way, even though it's Wigan.
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 14:14, Reply)
We've equalised since my last prediction.
Have fun watching the Toon.
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 14:16, Reply)
Certainly will.
Sadly, it doesn't look as if the load of washing I put in will be finished in time for me to hang it out, though. Domestic lols.
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 14:23, Reply)
and it's all over.
1-1.
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 14:27, Reply)
That's not so bad, considering.
Right, I'm off.
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 14:35, Reply)
Was it one of you lot who replaced the cooking show with the news and early football?
'cus that was a real dickhead move.
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 14:38, Reply)
Not guilty gonz.

(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 18:32, Reply)
Went to the tailors, gave them some jeans to fix.
Then went shopping for jeans, came back empty handed. Finding decent jeans is so fucking hard.
(, Sat 28 Apr 2012, 17:25, Reply)
Just got back from the pub
Pooflake and Todj are both 'heavily refreshed' and I'm about to run a bath ready for the foray into Leamington for a Chinese.
I love my life.
