i had a very quiet boring weekend apart from seeing family
because this week/next weekend is so busy and expensive.

how about you? living up to the al is a cunt theme or not?
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 10:51, 1 reply, 12 years ago)
Yeah, I wrote a song about a man who spent all his time in Poland having unprotected sex with prostitutes
until his wife found out and threw him out and then cried about it on the internet.

I also went to a wedding and went to see Iron Man 3. Which is a very good film, if you like that kind of thing.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 10:57, Reply)
is it 1 in 2 or 1 in 3 weddings that end in divorce these days?
i don't see why anyone spends the money on it, myself. might as well have a fantastic holiday instead.

Bitter single women who say this sort of thing invariably end up turning into bridezillas who spunk 20 odd grand on their wedding day,
Just saying, like.

It's a pumpkin carriage drawn by horses or nothing at all

And one of those wedding dresses that look like they've had their design taken from a toilet roll cosy.

(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:07, Reply)
you know someone's going to post your wedding pics again at this point, right?
not that i saw them the first time round. but nearly all wedding dresses look like meringues/toilet roll cosies.

I've just been off doing a mock up for your big day.

(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:22, Reply)

et tu, light-e!

Apparently around 42% end in divorce. That's quite a staggering number.
I imagine the reason you don't get it though, id because you're alone, and likely to remain that way due to how incredibly high maintenance you are.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:03, Reply)
singlehandedly bankrupted Gregg's, I heard

(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:04, Reply)
i'd spend the money on taking my closest friends and family to the caribbean
and doing it on the beach

you'll look back at those pics when your wife boots you out in a few years' time and you'll go, "yes, it was totally worth every penny."
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:09, Reply)
If the wedding day is more important than actually getting married, don't do it.

(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:12, Reply)
nobody who gets married thinks they'll be in the 42%
otherwise they wouldn't do it. the fact is, people change. or they meet other people. or people get sick and die young. nobody thinks it'll happen to them. but it does.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:14, Reply)
Apart from the ones who unfortunately die
most of the rest are down to one or other (or both) being selfish in some way or other.
If you want to do what you want, stay single.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:26, Reply)
are you calling swipe a vacuous bike with no concept of what a vow is?

(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:31, Reply)
Not swipe, no.

(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:32, Reply)
i don't think that's always true, actually
sometimes people genuinely realise after a while that they want different things. people do change. you could look at it as being selfish, or you could accept that not everything stays the same forever.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:48, Reply)
Exactly
If you believe that things/people change, then don't promise to stay a certain way for the rest of your life.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:51, Reply)
but you don't promise that, do you?
you promise to stick together through all the changes. but for some people, that doesn't happen. perhaps because one has been a selfish cunt, perhaps both, as you say. but other times it's because feelings just change, or something outside your control changes.

my dad's first marriage ended because they both wanted different things after about 10 years together. he was starting to get a string of promotions, and the bank wanted to move him to london. he wanted that lifestyle for his family and himself, and was willing to work killer hours for it so that his wife didn't have to work at all. but she flatly refused to leave the tiny village where they'd both grown up, even though it would have meant killing his career, because she had all her friends and family there. i don't really think you could call either of them selfish, could you? their wants just changed, and they didn't grow together.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:56, Reply)
This is why I brutally murdered my ex.
I wanted her to stop shagging someone else; she didn't. The end.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:58, Reply)
yeah, i think that might fall more in the selfish cunt category
luckily you excelled yourself second time around
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:59, Reply)
First time was a practice run, weren't it?
I was too young the first time round, really.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 12:03, Reply)
Part of it is that sometimes you have to accept that you can't have everything you want
because to do so is unfair in some way on the other party.
This doesn't just apply to married people, either.
I think in general people are becoming more selfish - even in little things like the way they drive, or even walk.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 12:04, Reply)
I certainly didn't think that the first time round.

(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:26, Reply)
Did you think you'd end up killing her?

(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:30, Reply)
It was her fault, if she didn't keep making him angry, she'd still be here today.

(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:32, Reply)
Do you think Battered is likely to murder his ex-wife then?

(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:34, Reply)
I would think he'd go for Manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:43, Reply)
Five years of pissing about on here and I finally have a meme.
Yay.

I'll stick it up on LinkeIn.
It's bound to be a winner.
(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:36, Reply)
You'll pay for all your friends to go to the caribbean just so you can have sex in front of them?

(, Mon 29 Apr 2013, 11:13, Reply)
it wouldn't be the first time
