They did a good job 5 years ago with some new houses.
These new ones look horrid.

I am glad you're looking for work, nothing worse than being miserable 5 days out of 7

How about being miserable seven days out of seven?
Perhaps Frogso can answer this

Hi. Yeah, thanks for asking.
It's manageable, but requires determination and commitment. It's rewarding in it's own way but it *is* a decision you shouldn't go into lightly. HTH.

Do you recommend a course of SSRIs to help with the management?
Or perhaps you advocate self-medication with a bottle of vodka, while staying in bed all weekend?
(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 9:36, Reply)
Yeah, another good question. Thanks.
Initially I found the SSRIs didn't *do* much, and had my dose doubled. Then I found life was a bit better so knocked taking them on the head, as I kept forgetting to take them and found I didn't really need them, and was experiencing some side effect which were undesirable. I have started drinking more, and would definitely recommend that in pursuit of misery. Unfortunately I don't have the time at the moment to stay in bed all weekend, but it is something I am planning for in the not too distant future.

Ah right, so you suggest stopping and starting taking prescribed medication as and when you choose, rather than under the guidance of a GP or other health professional?

(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 9:42, Reply)
It worked for me!
Ideally you shouldn't do that, but I'm a fucking maverick and play by my own rules.

Cheers, I find the whole job hunting effort excruciating, so it's taking some effort.
I really can't stay where I am for much longer, though. It's doing me no good.
(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 9:36, Reply)
You need to find a place with women you haven't slept with yet?

(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 9:36, Reply)
i didn't realise how miserable job hunting made me until i got the offers yesterday,
to use a clichè, it was like a weight off my shoulders, instantly perked up, realised how much of a grumpy prick i've been the last few weeks.
Are you going to see about an industry move, or just a different office?
(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 9:38, Reply)
hopefully an interplanetary one

(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 9:43, Reply)
I ent suited for customer support. I have no patience and no tolerance for ignorance.
I'm going for an industry shift with a two-pronged strategy. I'd like to get back into publishing, so I'm going for web content work as a halfway measure. The other prong is AV installation. Two areas that I have transferrable skills for without quite so much direct prick interaction.
(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 9:44, Reply)
ladypig is in publishing,
what sort of area are you looking at? Ladypig is in academic online, dealing with all the onlin journals that univeristies and stuff use. she loves it.
(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 9:58, Reply)
you reckon AV installation will have less direct prick intereaction?
fucking hell, mate, have you ever been in a mid-to-high end HiFi shop?
(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 9:59, Reply)
I mean AV as in corporate conferencing systems etc.
Since you're usually working in boardrooms and pulling out ceiling tiles, you pretty much get left alone.
(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 10:06, Reply)
ours don't
inevitably it's getting dragged into urgent meetings and being screamed at to get it set up before the client arrives.
(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 10:07, Reply)
Again, I said installation, not support.
Also, any cunt that screams at me gets short fucking shrift.
(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 10:10, Reply)
best not apply to any law firms
partners are GOOD at screaming
(, Thu 24 Oct 2013, 10:11, Reply)
I shan't. I have some self respect.
