Plenty
I'll invoke the power of Rory as I have:

2 mortgages, 2 big loans, 3 credit cards and an overdraft. 2nd house will be sold in 2015 once 2 year lock in period expires. This should net me about £50k profit

I fucking love me a bit of Kylie and Suzanna Reid

(, Thu 31 Oct 2013, 14:43, Reply)
How successful do you think you'd be if you'd done a proper degree in the first place?
I did 6 months of a joint honours history and English degree, felt it really helped me on my path.
(, Thu 31 Oct 2013, 14:50, Reply)
no different
because the law conversion is only a year, so it just delayed things by a year. can't do the law conversion without a first degree.

i guess if i'd had to pay fees for the degree or the law conversion (my firm paid those), i'd have found it more of a waste.
(, Thu 31 Oct 2013, 14:52, Reply)
Is it not different if you go straight I'm to law?
Or am I being stupid?
(, Thu 31 Oct 2013, 14:58, Reply)
law is a 3 year degree, then you do your LPC or your BVC depending on whether you are solicitor or barrister
non-law, you do your degree, then 1 year law conversion, then LPC or BVC

so not much difference really
(, Thu 31 Oct 2013, 15:03, Reply)
Sounds a bit OTT

(, Thu 31 Oct 2013, 15:03, Reply)
Surely 3 years of law is better than 1 year of law and 3 years of something else?

(, Thu 31 Oct 2013, 15:08, Reply)
no, not really
by the time you've been doing it a while, you don't use all the other bits. I haven't touched any of the modules except property and litigation for years.

About £650 on the plastic.
Which is getting paid off when I do my monthly rent/council etc (tomorrow at work).

That debt was only there because of the remnants of a 0% purchase and being without a debit card for a fortnight.
(, Thu 31 Oct 2013, 14:32, Reply)
Small overdraft and mortgage. Ladypig has a credit card we've had to use recently, but it's only a few quid.
I'm lucky to have paid off my student loan in a lump sum after a wealthy relative died.

I miss Boyce, and I like frog but my favourite is TH.

(, Thu 31 Oct 2013, 14:57, Reply)
Dunno.
It's half term so he's probably busy with his sprogs. I get the impression he has the more flexible job as he works from home and stuff, so he'll be on kid duty. Or dead. He might be dead.
(, Thu 31 Oct 2013, 14:59, Reply)
I hope he isn't dead before we got the chance to say goodbye and tell him what stuff we wanted when he's gone.

mortgage and an overdraft which I barely use
And the mortgage is dropping significantly as of the end of next month. Student loan will be paid off by the end of next year an' all.
(, Thu 31 Oct 2013, 15:19, Reply)
Mortgage, that's it
The nice thing about a mortgage is it might be a huge - and, in any other circumstance, terrifying - amount of debt but because most people have one you just don't think about it.
(, Thu 31 Oct 2013, 15:24, Reply)
Mortgage finished a couple of years ago. I'm debt free and rolling in surplus cash.
