Alright?
tgeres a big one on the lotto tomo, £150m.... I'd love that, next week I'm going Brighton and if I had that kind of money, I would buy myself some sushi
(, Thu 23 Oct 2014, 19:34, 129 replies, latest was 10 years ago)
You could invent an indoor soft-play centre for dogs.
So that busy owners could leave their dog with you when they go to work and the dogs would have company and an adventure playground to roam about in.

And have change as I doubt that would cost £150 million.
(, Thu 23 Oct 2014, 19:45, Reply)
That would be awesome, even if it doesn't make a penny I would love that.

(, Thu 23 Oct 2014, 19:52, Reply)
You should design one.

www.thewhiskylounge.com/event/manchester-whisky-festival-2014/
Bear in mind, I know little about malts. I do like a nice jd and coke though.
(, Thu 23 Oct 2014, 20:33, Reply)
what? out of the logo ones?
Highland Park or Macallan.

Look out for Auchentoshan whiskies; they are pretty decent (not the classic though) and do a good range of expressions. Ditto Glenfarclas.

Don't add water to every whisky, and even when you do, just the tiniest of drops makes a massive difference.

Top tip: ticketed whisky tastings are a good shout, especially if you lay on a light supper afterward. Your local spirits specialist can lead the tasting. Alternatively, a good friend of mine in London runs a spirits business if you wanted to go down the route of regular tastings.

Alt: get fucked.
(, Thu 23 Oct 2014, 20:44, Reply)
Yeah, the logo ones, we do some malts, I'd like a few more in, and will try to scrounge some ddiscounts.

also, Japanese whiskies are probably the best in the world

(, Thu 23 Oct 2014, 20:53, Reply)
Japan doesn't have peat, so their whiskies are sweet.
Yamazaki and Nikka are worth investigating, and Hibiki is a seriously good blended one.
(, Thu 23 Oct 2014, 20:55, Reply)
Yes they do

At least you try.
(, Thu 23 Oct 2014, 21:12, Reply)
I'm very trying.

(, Thu 23 Oct 2014, 21:14, Reply)

Also Yamazaki is a distillery (owned by Suntory) but Nikka is a brand. They have a main distillery (in Myagi) which does the sweeter whiskies but also another distillery in Hokkaido which does peaty ones.
(, Thu 23 Oct 2014, 21:27, Reply)
soz, rather, Japan is the best country for whisky in terms of quality.
I've never had a bad Nip malt, had plenty of mediocre Scottish ones.
(, Thu 23 Oct 2014, 20:50, Reply)

I used to live near the main Nikka whiskey distillery, which do some really good ones (everybody's heard of Suntory, but not so much others).

They did a free tour which included unlimited tastings - I don't think they were prepared for how much an english person could take the piss.
