It's getting cold in California..........
So, last week, we had record temperatures......and Southern California burned.
Tonight, it started raining. It sounds like Niagara Falls on my patio.
The poor bastards that live in the burn areas, who escaped the fires, now have to deal with the mudslides this will bring on.

I live on a mesa, so I'm ok, but the next couple of days will be interesting with the storm system that's come in.
All we need now is an earthquake to shake things up big style.

We complain all the time....
....about the weather, but we don't get anything that dramatic in Ingerland.

Its just the lack of light day after day that gets depressing. Bring on the brimstone and hurricanes!

It always amazes me
that people choose to live in places where the surrounding environment says, "I don't like people". Whether it be the Californian earthquakes and eventual sliding into the Pacific, the hilly nonsense of Sheffield, or the floodplains of East Anglia... balls.

I remember
watching the news a few years ago when a volcano was erupting and there was great concern for the inhabitants of a village that lay in the path of the lava.

The reporter said "the villagers are praying to God to save them".

I imagined God looking down on them shaking his head in exasperation, shouting "Help? How about 'don't live on a fucking volcano'?! I gave you a whole planet! You're beyond help! For fuck's sake!"
