by referring to it as a 'conflict', which would imply it being two sided.

In a massive history of monumental stupidity, chaos and lots and lots of innocent victims that is probably gonna end in some sort of bloodbath. I give the entire Gaza strip/Palestine/Israel area a decade at most before most of it is turned to glass, ash and glows at night.

where I asking someone about it and indicated that I didn't know what the Gaza strip was.
They beckoned me to the window and showed me a strip of land about a metre or two wide on the near side of a river.
I was like "that's it? fucking losers"

Both sides should be armed to the teeth with tanks, guns, planes, helicopters atomic, biological & chemical weapons and the winners can finally, once and for all claim ownership of the resulting pile of desolate ashes and uninhabitable rubble

This song may or may not help...

This is not the usual religious war about "who's got the best imaginary friend". Both sides have the same one FFS! They just differ about the interpretation of the translation of the translation of the passed-down hearsay of some guys millenia ago.
I'd weep if I gave a fuck.

Absolutely Nothin'
One can appreciate the grievances of both sides, but the West Bank Palestinians are still going to get shat on no matter what.
I hate seeing any conflict, I wish I knew the answer to solving this one.

So, there's only one way to sort this out.......

and they certainly shouldn't have made a television programme all about it.
He should be allowed to quietly drink himself to death just as George Best did before him.

vegetable dumpling dynamite from itsu. itsu may just be the best thing in the whole world, ever. really tasty broth stuffed full of noodles and vegetables (or salmon, chicken or duck according to taste), dumplings etc. very low fat, very delicious, and appeals to my huge sense of greed by being served in a bucket the size of a tin of dulux.
mmm. itsu.
i thought /talk liked to talk about lunch, so am just trying to fit in and make friz feel at home.

will be to let them all kill each other, as that seems to be what they most desire to do.
If I were King Of The World, I would cordon off the Middle East and order that anyone crossing either in or out would be killed without any questions asked. I would then wait fifty years, the go deal with whoever is left. Hopefully by then the crazies will have all killed each other, and whoever is left will be the sane ones who had the sense to hide. If they aren't- close 'em back up again for another fifty years.

Interview every last person in the area and ask them - Are you prepared to die for this war/the cause?
a) Yes
b) No
Whisk everyone who answered b) off somewhere for a while and let everyone who answered a) fight to the death.

...most observers have missed the point that Palestinian civillians continue to be treated like shit. Israeli blockades ensure that little economic aid gets through and that roadblocks mean day to day life is very tough for Palestinians. Their own leaders aren't doing much to ease their plight either.
To a lesser extent, Israeli civillians are suffering thanks to the bombardment from crudely assembled missiles.
Turning our backs on the Middle East ain't the answer IMHO, we created the problem in the first place so the least we can do is try and sort it out.

Or just another way for the US to use up their old military stock and test new ones?
*cough*
We buggered it up in 1919, yet the US pay the Israelis arms budget, and we stand idly by. Fantastic.
