(the feeling, not the user)
I've been low for a few days, and to pick myself up I've got itchy feet for a hitch-hike this weekend. I live near Milton Keynes (concretecowsroundaboutsblahblahblah) and fancy hitching for four or five hours from early Saturday morning. It's been known for me to cover 250 miles in five hours on a good day.
I can afford a few pints to see the night through, a b&b, a nice walk or something in the morning then hitch home in time for tea on Sunday.
My question is... where should I go?
Edit: lusty - feel free to answer too :)

and go there :)
Bit pointless if they're getting off at the next junction.

I won't have my car this weekend so I couldn't pick you up from nearby wherever you were dropped off : (
Edit - Ooo! Anglesey is lovely.

it's an option. Warwick sounds like a possible choice. I went a couple of times as a youngster... Keep 'em coming people!
Edit: becky... people get a bit freaked out if complete strangers off the roadside want to go exactly where they're going :)

so you could have some fun along the way :)
How about seeing how far North you can go in a day on someone elses dollar?

But it's full of people from Anglesey.
How about hitch hiking round the M25? You could see how many laps you could do in a day.

It'd be fun, but I'd like to have a few hours to walk, see sights, get a bit pissed etc and have time to lope about in the morning too. If I did that I'd want to go til it got dark to see how far I got. I'm hitching to Edinburgh for the bash in April so that'll be my ultimate test :)
Edit: Sam... that sounds like some version of torture! I'd rather see the country than lap a four-lane highway. Plus hitching the M25 is officially a mission due to the speed of the slip roads, nowhere to stop etc. And I think the transport police would move me on if they caught me hitching around there.

Aren't you over the border Sam? I reckon I could get all the way down the M4 for a laugh.

But quite a way north of the M4.
Hitch hiking round here is a fun activity, since none of the farmers will pick you up!

Women, Porsches, 40t banana lorries... yes. Farmers, no.
I might try and make it to Three Cliffs Bay south west of Swansea... it's about two hundred miles and bloody lovely.
Any more suggestions?

We've got loads of.........errm. Hang on. OH YEAH we've got........no that's Leamington.
Gimme 5 mins and I'll think of something.
Better make that 10.
I'll get back to you tomorrow.
Maybe.

I don't live there, but I like it.
Capt... the opportunity to meet you and the good Mr Flake are the ONLY reasons you'd get me anywhere near Coventry.

The original, not that godawful remake.

I ain't no Rutger Hauer. And I can't look like a psycho - I always get picked up.
All further suggestions considered!

in the Lune Valley give me a shout. There's plenty to do here... caves, mountains, waterfalls, climbing, forests...
Also, I've been pondering the Edinbash and how I'm going to get there... I spent my yoof hitching up and down the country (with
