This is a question Off Topic

Are you a QOTWer? Do you want to start a thread that isn't a direct answer to the current QOTW? Then this place, gentle poster, is your friend.

What was your first QotW post?
I popped my cherry with this one back in 2006

Should be interesting to see what the other /questions veterans first posted...

----------------------------------------------
EDIT: added links to several FUCKING LOADS OF regular posters' inaugural missives, as it's a pain in the arse finding your first post unless you know the secret method (which I've also added as a reply)

I'M a veteran.
4+ years anyway. I feel veteran like.

This is actually my second post but the first was pish.

Can't work out a quick way of finding out.

EDIT: I was way off:

I registered my account just so I could create my first post
(which is here). I could not think of what to call myself so I asked myself: "What sort of person would do something like that?". And hence the origin of my username.

BTW: Another QOTW popped up that allowed me to post an expanded version of my first post.

Apologies for the swear but
fuck me.
That was a hardcore post that man.
Wasn't expecting that at all.
I suppose it's tragedies like that which make us better people.
Plus I'm sure she would've been happy you were enjoying yourself :). Mums are the most unselfish people ever.

I share colonel69's thoughts. I couldn't quite pen them as eloquently as he could though.

(*snap* - I'm also a bit of an STP monkey too)

@Kaol, DJTP & Spakka
All great first posts!

@the colonel: yeah, it was quite tough writing it. Glad I did though.

How to find your first post
Click on your username and go to the bottom of your profile page

Click on '[read all their answers]'

Scroll to the bottom of that page and click on 'more results ยป'

The URL in your browser's address bar will now look something like this:

b3ta.com/users/searchposts.php?id=29335&board=qotw&start=10

Modify the last few digits to a larger number, say 1000:

b3ta.com/users/searchposts.php?id=29335&board=qotw&start=1000

If you get a page of results, increase it again, say to 2000. If not, decrease it, say to 500.

By a process of trial and error, you will eventually land on the page containing your first post.

Happy hunting! ;)

Things I have learned doing this post
1) Kaol has posted way more than anyone else
2) About half the posters made a 'length' joke on their first post. Me included.
3) Nearly everyone has posted more times than all the QotW mods combined.
4) Finding things like this on b3ta is a pain in the arse

this was mine

I am quite proud that I didn't make a length joke!

@VC: Length jokes
They can be funny sometimes, other times they're a bit tiresome. Is it just a b3ta meme? I've never seen it on other sites...
