I have a dilemma
It's Monday night, my team are playing, and it's on the telly.

Do I go to the pub and watch it, in the knowledge that if we go down it'll possibly be one of the last chances I get to watch the match with a pint?

Or stay in as it's raining and I haven't seen them win yet this season so why start being optimistic now?

I'm erring on the former, but honestly, Monday's are depressing enough already. But then if I do stay in they'll probably go and win just to spite me.

Go out
We'll likely lose since we seem to not be much good at anything else but at least you'll be out.

And the rain never hurt anyone.

The choice is between pint and no pint
And you're struggling to make up your mind? Somebody fetch this man a doctor....and a pint.

Get the beers in and watch it on the computer.

Why is this even a question?
Get yourself to beer, man! Who cares about the game if there's beer to be had?

This is true
Think I'd already decided anyway, but I'll be driving so just a couple of shandies for me I think.

Unless the missus would drop me off.

I would stay in, because I hate drinking in the pub by myself.
Maybe get a take-away or something though.

Getting Tourette's to drop you off at the pub?
Sounds a little much like dropping (something else) off at the (something else).

I can't see how she could resist.

Round our way
if there's a match on and you're on your own, you're never short of someone to talk to.

I've discovered this on many an occasion :)

Just seen an excellent joke from a toon friend of mine on facebook.

Q: What's the difference between Shearer and Newcastle United FC?
A: Shearer will be on Match Of The Day next season.

Meh
Another 0-0 draw. At least we're above the smoggies now, if only on goal difference.

Good second half though.

Let's be honest though
We are screwed.
(, Tue 28 Apr 2009, 9:45, Reply)
Well more than likely, yes
barring a minor miracle.

Still possible to avoid the drop but I'm not counting on it. Second half performance was promising but the chances on goal that were squandered made me weep.

Do I subject myself to the Liverpool game on Sunday, I wonder? And then Boro the week after?
