Church attendance correlates directly with sadism and immorality
www.cnn.com/2009/US/04/30/religion.torture/index.html

Argh. It's not like the fact that TORTURE DOESN'T WORK isn't out there and really easy to find. Or that torture has proved the biggest recruitment tool for terrorists they could ever have wished for.

This is just willful ignorance and primitive vengeance lust.

gargh
that's bullshit. I don't get why people would support that.

If they want information that badly - microchip them and send them on their way. Watch them. Don't fucking torture them.

Huh
It's almost like torturing someone makes them say whatever the hell they think you want them to say if there's a chance that the pain will stop. And yes, by torturing people we do kind of create the best ever poster campaign for terrorism. That and carpet bombing, bomblets, illegal detention of terrorism suspects, illegal wars and such. I'm kind of thankful that the mainstream protestent churches all seem to be against torture no matter what, it's mostly the evangelical nutjobs who thankfully remain a (admittedly very vocal) minority.

They surveyed
white evangelicals, i.e. Klansmen, rednecks and bible thumpers.
