They are cool and sensuous, like slipping in to a silk gown after a bath.
I am good today. Not happy being at work, but I can make a start on my writing.
Hows goes yourself?

J'ai mathematique :)
Translation, from 16-year old French:
I am very good, I have mathematics :)

I can read it, but not a clue how to reply. Damn you my putrid and shrivelled up language glands!

Particularly when my French teacher took someone's coursework that had been done on it and translated it out in to english for us as it would read to a french person. Babelfish can't do grammer sadly, and I like doing wordy replies.

I'm waiting for my bookeeper to turn up so she can do all the nasty mathmatics that makes my head hurt.
Yay for Jacky.

But no. Apparantly you have to have maths to do an electrical engineering qualification. Who'd have thought? Electricity is just "Press button and big spark!"

I can draw nice pictures though : )

I can differentiate, I can integrate. I can work with trigonometry, stats and functions. But I've never been able to do long division.

Polynomial Long division.
That was fucked.
linear algebra is much more fun. As much as maths can be fun at least.

The joy if seeing what's going on in a complex formula, manipulating it to your own will and purposes and getting exactly the result you wanted.
It's a bit like playing with genertics to make a man with a monkeys tail and seeing it being born perfectly.

Mathematics isn't about numbers, it's about being able to think in an abstract way. Part of the joy of pure maths is just that - it's purity of processing, and I love it for the fact that there's no benefit to it, other than the knowledge of doing it for its own sake.

Hence why I dropped down a maths level.
Now I understand it all it's much more enjoyable.
But I prefer writing and blowing things up more.
