I foolishly decidedto descale the office kettle before I made myself a coffee. I now need to wait for half an hour before I can use it.

Biol the kettle with the de-scaler in it.It's much quicker. Plus, if you're using a proprietary brand rather than just citric acid, and if you use too much, it makes a really satisfying mess.
