This is a question Pet Peeves

What makes you angry? Get it off your chest so we can laugh at your impotent rage.

"Baby on board" stickers
Yes, very good, we all now know you're fertile. Jolly well done to you.

However:

* Do you remove the sticker when the baby's not on board?

* Did you really think I was going to crash into your car but had a change of heart when I saw that your darling sproglet was in there with you?

* Do you honestly believe that a car can be so badly mangled in an accident that the emergency services can't find a baby (in a massive car seat), and yet either the baby or the sticker will survive?

And people who have "Princess on board", "Babe on board" and other such variations ought to have their eyes poked out with rusty skewers

oh yes
must agree as well.

"Fuck Trophy On Board"

Can't remember who it was posted that expression (on a previous QotW), but it was bloody brilliant.

^^
Maybe if there wasn't a "Princess on Board" sticker on the back of a certain Mercedes....

Have wondered
the same.
I made a load up when me and some mates went off to Norfolk. Generally to take the piss out of one of our group.
But I made a special one and kept it for my car:
CAUTION: 17-25 year old Caucasian male on board!
Ironically (isn't it?) the bloke I hit wrote down his details on the back.

this
"oh sorry I was going to pile into your arse end at 50mph but since you've got a kid in the car I'd better stand on the old brakes there....."

A friend who works as a firefighter
Tells me that they originated as an alert for fire & rescue people to know to look for a baby/child in the event of a crash as small humans and carseats can easily be ejected and possibly overlooked.

This
and personalized license plates.

agreed
the only car sticker or logo i have seen that has made me chuckle is

"honk if my driving is good"

confusion must settle in when this person cuts you up, what to do?

Louveciennes is correct
They are designed to alert rescuers that there is a small child in the back seat. With a bad shunt, sprog seats can rotate forwards and are not immediately noticeable.

Or say there's a car in the river with just the back end above water level? Driver gets out but is unable to communicate that there is a sprog trapped within?

Happened last week as I recall...

The 'novelty' ones do get on my tits a bit, but I assume that anyone who hates these has no personalisation or adornment on their own vehicle? People make cars look stupid, whatever their breeding status.

Baby on board signs
were just money spinners for some bloke...

And even...
...those "Caution: Show dogs in transit" stickers. It's as if I'd be more careful about hitting them because they've got a car full of smelly mutts. Surely I should be considerate because there's a human in the car driving, rather than some dogs?

I've also noticed...
...that people with Baby on Board stickers tend to be really fucking awful drivers, particuarly in Essex.
(, Fri 2 May 2008, 11:19, closed)
There's only I couldn't help laughing at...
..."Mrs George Michael on Board" I think that person may have been living on their own little planet for the last few years!
(, Fri 2 May 2008, 19:13, closed)
Tell you what they are good for ...
They are like an "I can park here" ticket for the mother and baby spaces at the supermarket.

Caution Horses..
This sign has always amused me. I like to picture a van full of particularly careful horses whos mission in life is to help others less cautious than themselves.
