Where is the strangest place you have slept?'lardaholics anonymous' was bored and started a new question over in the old question, so the least we can do is make it official. What with New Year's celebrations coming up, asking for the strangest place you have slept is nicely appropriate too.
In case you are wondering, Portsmouth beach in the fog. Very strange waking up to that.

In a stinking public lav during a stormI once got thrown out of a party (don't ask) which was in the middle of nowhere during a really heavy storm. I started making my back to the nearest train station, which was a mere 9 mile walk, and by the time I got there there was still a 5 hour wait for my next train back to Brighton.
As you can imagine I was soaking wet, freezing, tired and miserable, and the only place I could find with a roof was a foul old bog, so I went into the only cubicle with a lock and curled myself around the bowl, trying to sleep.
During the night I heard rats and possible bumming, and all in all it ranks as the worst night I have ever spent anywhere.
