I was in a meeting and someone had bought a box of Krispy Kreme donuts
they smelled very nice, but I just thought they looked like fried fat and sugar blobs. It was kind of the person to buy them and all, but honestly - they are not nice things.

My sister always said that the best thing about krispy kremes is that they're just as good the following day
but that's generally because they're already stale by the time you buy them

A few years ago I worked in an office where most Fridays some prick of a manager would buy a couple of boxes for the whole team, as a questionable 'perk' for keeping wages at low end of stagnant and timing their piss breaks. You should have seen it, it was like a scene from Parks and Rec, like the Second Coming or some shit. All the chubby middle-aged Kathys clucking around, 'ooh doughnuts!' God, that was a depressing work environment..

I didn't eat the treat foods
management people would bring out, or the birthday cake because it made me feel like a child. Also I've encountered 2 separate creepy people who used to buy treats for the team but never eat anything themselves. It was probably meant to be kind but it just made me think they might be sitting at home rubbing their nipples to cctv tapes of fat women nomming down on Gregg's yumyums.
