Boring fact I had a girlfriend teacher in the States and went to her school
And Janitors/Cleaners were addressed as 'custodians' and were valued as much as every member of staff which was nice. I doubt their pay mirrored this but it they were valued. Minimum wage here though with good intentions is now treated as the entry pay for too many people. Zero hour contracts are an utter disgrace. The poor are made to subsidise the rich and keep their sense of entitlement.
