Bruce Langhorne - excellent guitarist - despite missing half his right hand. Mate of Dylan and played on some of the best early tracks. Mate also of Richard and Mimi Farina (and if you don't know about Richard Farina, check him out too).
He used to have a big Turkish tabor-like drum with cymbals hence the song.
