Linked below but I thought it was worth its own post - a description of how to reverse the yellowing on old plastics. I first came across this years ago and the results can be amazing - the link to the official website has some interesting history and photos.

Interesting, but
it says a source of heat is needed and suggests a UV lamp. A better source of heat would be an IR lamp. I'd guess the short wavelength and high energy of the UV facilitates the chemical reactions to remove the colouring. UV destroys certain pigments very quickly just on its own.
