To be honest, I agree with your first line
I can't believe at the rate the well is leaking, that there has been so little coming ashore as yet. Once hurricane season comes, the environmentalists will be very worried.

A hurricane might make it less bad,
since it'll keep the sea churned, which'll help the dispersants.
