# well, from a sixteen year old's knowledge:
ernesto "ché" guevara was born to a fairly well-to-do argenitian family. when he grew up, he went on a tour round south america on his motorbike, and on his way he met fidel castro. he was interested in castro's politics and aims, and was convinced to help him lead the cuban revolution against an american-supported puppet leader who wasn't doing a very good job. with a small band of partisans, they did go up into the hills and jungles and fought their revolution and won. ché stayed in a position of power in la habana for a couple of years but got restless. he tried the same tactics with small groups in other countries, trying to emulate the success he had in cuba, but it never went well at all. revolution failed in a half dozen african and south american countries, and then finally he was caught and killed when his attempt in bolivia failed.

# In my day
I'd have watched Che-Man & The Partisans Of The Well-to-Doniverse and garnished the requisite information that way.
None of your fancy modern 'text books'
