# um
i have absolutely no idea about corel ;-)

in general though, you can do a few things to reduce anim file sizes...
1 --> some programs do this automatically, but i don't know about corel. if you have an anim like that one above where there isn't much changing in the image, you can just set the basic picture as the first image and then the changed bit as the second. what i mean by this, in ref. to the anim above, is to have the full picture for the first frame, but only the shorts for the 2nd. this way there's less new data to load, and the filesize comes down massively.
2 --> reduce size (bear in mind that if you want something to have a chance of going on the frontpage it can be no wider than 280 pixels (see the faq)
3 --> reduce colour depth (number of colours used. it's often suprising how much you can take this down by without significant loss of quality.
4 --> reduce/remove dithering - the little patterns of different colours that the software uses to give the impression of a colour that isn't in the palette.
5 --> remove frames. but that's only relevant in animations with lots of motion anyway.

# So kind
of you to take the time to help here - I will certainly heed your advice - and learn the program in a bit more depth. Thanks again to you.

# that's quite alright.
you've got a good attitude - too many people come on here and don't listen to any of the advice that people offer. you seem to be 'shopping pretty well as it is so i'm sure you'll go far :-)
