well for u lot that are not welsh the LL in llandudno is pronounced KL from back of throat

But I lived in Aberystwyth for yonks. Aha. Klan Dud No. Igeddit. I've always found the LL sounds is best represnted on paper by #&*!?L.

and here's a little tip for anyone struggling with welsh pronunciation:
ll - stick tip of tongue in front of roof of mouth, spread tongue so that it touches molars, blow through gaps (sounds like a snake with a lisp), wipe dribble from mouth.
dd - soft th sound
u - ih sound
There is no K in the Welsh Alphabet - 100% FACT.
