I use Cool Edit Pro
I'm pretty sure you could get hold of Cool Edit Pro 1.2 - the installers only about 14MB, so if your email can take it, I'm sure someone could email it to you when they get home...

perhaps someone could send a CD, with 2.0 instead? It's pretty easy to use actually with fantastic sample editing stuff.
