but I'm afraid of not being able to find drivers for my modem or soundcard or cd burner.

I probably will if I ever get the motivation, but for now I find it convinient to have a windows machine for things like kazaa and my music software

I'm waiting for someone to make a financial decision, then if it's ok, I'm going to buy myself an external dvd burner and put the poor old cd burner out of it's misery.
