Simulacrum and verisimilitudeOnce and once only, I found an aerosol can of catnip spray. I gave my cat a blast in the face and got a similar dizzy reaction as your cat. Unfortunately, no gorse bush was near, nor ledge, but it was a riot to see the stoned kitty wobble around and flop onto his face.
He didn't seem to mind at all and finished up with a nice nap.
