To be fair
didn't they start the "Shout down the mike and play every single note on your instriment as fast as you can" genra?

Napalm Death, Nine Inch Nails
all probably did it better and earlier

Naplam Death were the premier supreme mike shouters
of all time - if you could understand any of their lyrics they weren't shouting it fast or loud enough ha-ha :)

Kings were
Seven Minutes Of Nausea - I have a 7" with about 200 Songs, each about two seconds long. Much shouting, very fast playing.

not really
that's been a fall-back of keen but slightly inept rock bands for as long as I can remember

I thought of a
"Yet Another Pop Idol Production" type thing, but then couldn't be arssed, so I made some tea.
it's the thought that counts.

Yeah, tea is good
better than mashing your brains out with Photoshop when the humus is ebbing.

Korn is not thrash metal.
Metallica would glare harshly at you for saying so.

They are over-rated aswell
along with Navarna.
Granted, they have maybe one or two 'good' songs, I recone Alex Park's new album is better than that*
* Strangly enough, It is actualy very good. You just need to get over the fact that it was produced out of Fame Accadamy

Say what you like about 'tallica, they are fucking world-class musicians. They make it look effortless. Particularly Lars.
And they have a unique sound, which is very rare within the genre.
And has the tiny orang-u-dyke done any of her own songs yet or are they still all just covers?

The bloke from mattalica's voice irritates me
and the songs inspire me to do nothing except change the track. Sorry, but it's just not my taste.
Just because (i think) all of her songs are covers, it doesn't mean she is bad. Singers are not always Song Writters. She has maybe 3/4 bad songs on her new album, and i'ld say that is pritty impressive.

I know, I just think it's a bit of a waste of time having this big long publicised contest
so that we get yet another little girl covering songs by people who had the talent to perform them in the first place. I mean, Elvis didn't write his own songs, but he didn't cover Jerry Lee Lewis's either did he? And it must really annoy the original artists that all you have to do these days is look/sound fashionable and carry a tune.

pardon me for not finding the idea
of a glare from metallica particularly scarysome

I would have said they'll beat you up or something,
but Hetfield has hilariously insisted the band go to group therapy sessions and learn to say 'I love you'.
